Satin Pins

The brass safety pin, also known as a baby pin, is a variation of the regular pin which includes a simple spring mechanism and a clasp.

Safety pins are very common in craft notions. Safety pins can be used for virtually any craft project. In the beginning, they were used mostly in sewing and tailoring projects much like sewing pins or straight pins.

They were mostly used to hold fabric and garments in place just before being sewn. Now days, brass safety pins became multipurpose, due to its use in craft, jewelry creation, or even fashion.

Satin Pins are used in fine delicate fabrics that typically has a glossy surface and a dull back. The satin weave is characterized by four or more cool wool fill or weft yarns floating over a warp yarn or vice versa, four warp yarns floating over a single weft yarn.
